A California Ghost Hunter Falls 30 feet

Emergency Services were called to the location on Clovis Ave. near Aslan in the early morning hours on Monday.

The report states that several people were inside when a female fell approx. 30 feet from a walkway.  It was unclear that they were doing at the time, however a family member said the group were out ghost hunting.

Curt Fleming, Clovis Police Dept. said "I'm not sure what they were doing, it is a old spooky building, but they were up to no good and goofing around that's for sure"

The female victims name has not yet been released, but was taken to the local hospital and is expected to survive.

Trespassing charges could be pending.

"Spiritual Contact" on a Hotel Ghost Tour Is Just a Guy Hiding in the Attic

Self-professed psychic medium Chris Date (who hilariously calls himself the Knight Guider) recently led a paying group of customers on a ghost hunt through a supposedly haunted hotel, where he proceeded to make contact with a phantom spirit through a series of knocks on the hotel ceiling, because ghosts do that in movies, right?

A few of his suspicious guests waited around after the tour to see if anyone climbed down from the roof of the attic, and to the surprise of absolutely nobody on the planet, someone totally did. The man denied responsibility for the spooktacular knocks, and the Knight Guider himself jumped in his car and drove away before he could be questioned, because he needed time to come up with a response other than just an incoherent string of nervous stuttering.

New York's Freedom Tower: Ghostly Wails or High Winds

New Yorkers are wondering what the strange sounds that they are hearing resonating from the sky. Odd wailing noises seem to be echoing off buildings in Manhattan, and it's leaving a lot of folks scared, People Magazine reported yesterday.

The eerie sounds seem to be coming from the newly constructed Freedom Tower located at One World Trade Center in Manhattan. The structure replaced the original six-building complex of the World Trade Center that was attacked by terrorists on September 11, 2001. At 1776 feet, the building now takes the rank as the tallest building in the United States.

Several people called in to report the loud wailing noises that were heard earlier this week. Some of them were able to record the strange phenomena and even post it on Youtube.
"It's a skyquake, they are happening everywhere in the world. Really creepy sounds, no one knows where or why they happen. Some conspiracy people say it's HAARP," Michael Arazan said today.
Tribeca resident Kenny Cummings told the New York Post that "it almost sounds like a Gregorian chant and it will even hold a single note." Other New York residents believe that the new World Trade Center tower is haunted, and the screaming sounds are from the ghosts of the victims of the terrorist attacks.

The sounds coming from the Freedom Tower might just be the wind but that doesn't explain other noises that are being heard all over the world. Earlier this year, people in Missouri and Tennessee heard similar sounds.

What are these odd noises? That is one question on a lot of everyone's minds right now. This question may continue to go unanswered. Many officials are left baffled and are scratching their heads.
"At this point, nobody seems to know. The geologists say it's not in the ground, the Air Force says it's not in the air, the astronomers say it's not from space, so we're running out of options," one official said.

Some people think that the weird noises are paranormal related, others say they are extraterrestrial based, and a few folks claim that they have a biblical meaning. Others believe that there is a more scientific explanation or it is a hoax. As of right now, no one seems to have a clear answer as to what these strange sounds are.

Ghost hunters busted in Gettysburg; police mistake search for Civil War ghosts with burglary

ghost hunter
GETTYSBURG, Pa. (AP) — Police in Pennsylvania are investigating a complaint concerning a ghost hunt that went bust after a police officer mistakenly thought it was a burglary in progress.
The Gettysburg Times reported Tuesday that the Thanksgiving night ghost tour ended with two tourists and their guide being detained at gunpoint.
A patrolman passing a closed store in Gettysburg says he saw flashlights inside, so he went in and handcuffed and searched the three ghost hunters.
Police called the owner, who confirmed the tour operator had permission to use the allegedly haunted Civil War-era building. The first Union general killed in the Battle of Gettysburg was brought to the building after being fatally wounded.
The owner of the Victorian-style photography studio that occupies the building and permitted the tour has declined to comment.

A Group of Ghost Hunters charged with burning down La. plantation

Four Grand Prairie residents were among a group of men arrested in Louisiana this week after they burned down a historic plantation where they were smoking marijuana and looking for ghosts, authorities said.
Seven people in all were arrested, including another person from Fort Worth who investigators reportedly called the ringleader of the group. They were charged with various crimes, including arson, burglary and trespassing.
They are accused of destroying the LeBeau Plantation House, a structure built in the 1850s in Arabi, La. The house was considered the largest pre-Civil War mansion still standing in the New Orleans area, according to local media reports.
The house was reportedly built on an indigo plantation, was later used as a hotel and casino and then was left vacant for its last 30 years. Local lore said that the house was haunted. Law enforcement told reporters that trespassing was a regular problem.
Authorities said that the men arrested were smoking marijuana and drinking on the site.
“They had been looking for ghosts, trying to summon spirits beating on the floors,” said Col. John Doran of the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office in an article posted on his office’s Facebook page.
When no ghosts emerged, the group set the mansion on fire, Doran said.
The fire happened Thursday night and the group was arrested the next day. The four men arrested from Grand Prairie were Joshua Allen, 21; Joshua Briscoe, 20; Jerry Hamblen, 17, and Joseph Landin, 20. The man arrested from Fort Worth was 31-year-old Dusten Davenport. The other two men arrested, Kevin Barbe, 20, and Byron Meek, 29, were from Louisiana.
